"Sweety Dahling" came to me as a result of spending an entire Sunday watching Absolutely Fabulous. For those of you unfamilar with the debauchery that is this show, shame on you. I was first introduced to this show at a young age by my British mother and have since consistently tried to base my life on the teachings of Eddie and Patsy. This blog, I hope will reflect these life lessons.

Look What I Did....

First softball game of the season and I had to go and ruin it...So MAD! oh well. All my friends took good care of me...and are now, of course, making fun of me :) I'm hobbling around on crutches for the time being and will perhaps go see a doctor next week when my insurance begins. I think I should be ok though, I'm a quick healer...there are apparently bets in place as to how long it will before I am moving again...I'm going for 1 month, and I'm determined to win :)

Other than that, nothing terribly exciting has happened. I had my alumni field hockey game on Saturday (the day before I hurt myself) which was a lot of fun. Followed by the get together downtown at which I, and everyone else, proceeded to get completely hammered. I vaguely remember being in Taco Bell (GROSS) in Wrigleyville and not being able to comprehend the menu....classic. It was really good to see some old faces and get to know some of the girls on the team now. I miss college.

I think I'll be laying low this weekend, just in case I fall over and do myself more damage :)

Nice!

Sweeeet! I just got Madonna tickets for her concert in Chicago. I'm so excited, although my happiness is mixed with a little buyers remorse. I was lucky though, if I hadn't bought the tickets when I did, I wouldn't have been able to get any at all b/c I tried again, just for shits and giggles, and they were all sold out - less than 3 minutes after they went on sale!

So yay! Now I just have to hope that my green card interview in Sydney is in late June, otherwise I will cry.

In other news, I'm boring. Haven't been up to much lately, spent last Saturday night getting drunk and playing poker and woke up Sunday with a horrific hangover, so as usual affixed myself to the couch all day, minus the hour I went and had a Bloody Mary hoping it would help...it didn't.

Update: I think the pigeon had babies b/c the noise has increased ten-fold. Now, I don't condone cruelty to animals in any way, shape or form, but I would really like to throw/shoot something at them so I can get some sleep! It's making me cranky, and no one likes a cranky Nicole :) The only time I have ever liked pigeons was when I was in Trafalgar Square when I was 9...it was kind of fun to have them land on you and feed them...though looking back, that's just gross!
