Big Red Barn
This past weekend I went to Black Earth, WI (near Madison...but Black Earth sounds much more exotic and remote...although I don't think the words exotic and Wisconsin should be in the same sentence) and spent the weekend in a Big Red Barn.
When I first heard that we'd be staying in a barn I was thinking hay and mice etc...which didn't put me off as such, but I was wondering what I was getting myself into...lo and behold the "Big Red Barn"
Not so much hay and mice as sweet ass party house! This thing sleeps 25 plus people (I got to sleep in the Japanese Room...very nice) with bedrooms, lofts and bathrooms all over the place. A kitchen to die for, two huge fireplaces, comfy couches, a silo converted into a huge spiral staircase and eclectic decor.
The weekend was a lot fun and I would tell you all about it, but a pact was made that what happens at the Big Red Barn, stays at the Big Red Barn....sorry. So instead here are some pictures.

I left Black Earth with some fun memories, new friends and also a huge bruise on my arm from sliding down said spiral staircase in a sleeping bag....can't wait to go back in the summer :)

How cool! Literally as well - what I wouldn't give for some of that weather after what we've been having here lately!
